Chairman: Robert Pedowitz
PD : Douglas Letson
Location:
Spots: 4
Reputation: New restart for the USF program that shut down 15 years ago. It is a partnership between the university and private groups. Currently has 4 PGY2s and 2 PGY1s.
Pros: Eleven core faculty with some big names in Trauma and Sports. Level I trauma at Tampa General Hospital where NYU residents do their rotation. Other rotations look to be at Moffit Cancer Center, Shriners, VA, and a few other hospitals. Some well known attendings include Sanders (JOT Editor) and Pedowitz (Sports).
Final Word: New program, questionable training at this stage. Lots of potential.

A new/restart program. They don't have a full set of residents yet. Maybe will this year or next. There is a good amount of trauma
Not a bad place to live. Their reputation is yet to be determined since it hasn't had a full grad class yet.
