Reputation: Well known program and faculty in the South with exposure in all aspects of orthopedic surgery.
Pros: Great relationships between residents and faculty with broad sub-specialty exposure at state's only level I trauma center. Travel and research are supported by the department with at least one course per PGY level.

Interview dinners hosted for the applicants and their spouses the night before by residents and their spouses.
Very busy program with lots of trauma. Lots of autonomy early. Awesome group of residents. The chairman is an excellent guy as well. Not malignant at all.
Jackson probably isn't the top of the list for best places to live, but there are some really great areas right outside the city. (10-15 min from med center)
Also has a 7-year research pathway
