Reputation: Excellent program known across the country for its history and achievements in Orthopaedics.

Pros: Good all around program with strong reputation. Excellent coverage of all specialties including pediatrics, oncology, and sports. Some more famous attendings include Buckwalter (editor of several journals).

Cons: Location seems to be the major drawback of this program. However, if you are from the midwest or don't mind a change of scenery, Iowa City is a nice place. 

Final Word: Strong program in Iowa. Definitely would be a nice mark on your resume.
