Reputation: It is certainly the Harvard of Orthopaedics as the top or one of the top Ortho programs based on its history, production of most program chairmen of any program, and storied past.
Pros: You cannot beat the HSS reputation. It is a white collar program with excellent specialty training in all categories. Famous attendings are numerous. Excellent academic & didactics with several PhDs involved in academics, including several who were involved in the original knee and hip implant designs. HSS even has its own journal.
Final Word: Top program with strong specialty training that will be great for the resume and set up your academic career. You would be lucky to get a spot here and get to live in NYC.

Rotation Information: Lots of rotators at this place, up to 20 during high season. Quite selective in interview selection - not all rotators get interviews. Plan accordingly for this longshot.
